Firstly, Clive and I wish you and yours the best Christmas you can have under these changed circumstances. For us, it will be very quiet compared to last year, when we were together with all my family in the Cotswolds, as it will be just us two, not even our little dog here to keep us company this year as he passed away in the summer. But we are reasonably fit and well and, like many of you, have got used to our own company and staying at home. For some of you, I know, there is someone missing from your life this year and our thoughts are with you especially.
As you know, our Christmas party usually raises raffle money for a charity and as we were unable to hold a party this year, the money I would have spent on raffle tickets and mince pies was donated to Macmillan Cancer Care.
No doubt you're wondering when we will get back to classes. Well, so am I! At the time of writing, case numbers in Wales are on the increase and it is predicted that we will go into another lockdown after Christmas, so for the foreseeable future, I cannot make plans to get back early in 2021.
However, with the vaccine being rolled out and better weather in the Spring, I am hopeful that we may be able to get back to it by March. That is a long way off yet and lots could change in the meantime, but that's my best guess for now.
So, that's a wrap for 2020. I can't say I'll be sorry to see the back of this year - I expect we all feel the same.
Merry Christmas from us and here's to a much better 2021!
With love
Doc and Debz xx
