Secondly, and more importantly, again many thanks to Nicola for filling in for me during my holiday.
Thirdly, and even more importantly, Clive is doing well, although unable to dance at the moment due to foot pain. The holiday was "interesting". The first week was great but unfortunately he got pneumonia and had to go to hospital. We certainly saw parts of Durban we didn't expect to see! But we are home safe and sound and I'm happy to be back teaching again.
I had a lot of catching up to do with all the dances Nic taught during January.
Saturday 17th Feb sees me teaching at a Retro Event hosted by Luke from LS Dance (also Wagon Wheel and Tumble Clubs). I'll be teaching a favourite of the country/line dance performers - Messed up in Memphis. There are other teachers from across our area teaching a variety of older dances. In the evening there is a social. No need to pre-book tickets, bring a drink, snacks, whatever you need for the day. It's in Gorseinon New Lodge and starts at 11am. Hope to see you there.
I know I asked via WhatsApp what retro dances you wanted me to teach and I had some great suggestions, so I'm happy to cover some of those in class in the coming weeks.
Last week we re-visited Walk Back to Me as a tribute to Toby Keith. A great dance by Alison and Peter, to a lovely country track. Will be going over it again this week.
We had a pretty good turn out for class last week, but if you missed it, we look forward to seeing you soon.
