Thank you for your support over the past 5 months. It was incredible that, although we were later returning to classes than most in this area due to personal reasons, there was so much interest in the classes that I had to put on an extra hour from July to September to accommodate everyone.
It was a relief to get back to a more normal situation in September. Although we had fun in the small classes, and to be honest, you probably got a much better teach in those small groups, it was hard work teaching for 4 hours after doing very little for so long. And it's lovely to see everyone learning together again and having fun.
We managed to have a Xmas party, although on a much smaller scale than in previous years and thank you to all who attended and those who weren't able to come but donated their ticket money to the raffle cause. You raised £133 for the Renal Unit in Morriston Hospital, a charity chosen by Dawn, who's late husband Howard was a patient there for many years.
Next year sees our 10th anniversary of taking over this class from Colin. We've seen many changes and of the 15 members we inherited, we are down to just 2 now, although class numbers remain higher than ever. The class still has that lovely warm feeling it's always had over the past 9 years and that's down to YOU guys as much as it is down to us. Thank you for all you do to make each other feel valued, welcomed and good friends.
I'll continue to monitor the situation regarding the news about the current increase in Covid levels over the Xmas period and what impact that might have on our classes. I will keep you informed.
In the meantime, we wish you a peaceful, healthy Christmas. We hope you get to spend it with those you love. And our wish for us all, is for a healthier world in the New Year.
Cheers!
Doc & Debz xx
