The main changes to the Welsh Covid rules have been the removal of the requirement to wear face masks (except in certain settings) and the removal of the requirement for a Covid pass at large scale events. However, there is still a requirement on me to undertake a Risk Assessment to identify ways in which I can reduce the risk of any class members catching Covid, or indeed bringing it into class.
After consultation with the class members, there was a very strong feeling that the measure of vaccination was the most effective means of reducing the risk and a wish for that to be retained, at least for the time being. The use of face masks is now a personal preference. I have also been advised that I can increase class sizes. As it would be extremely rare for there to be more than 30 attend over the course of the 3 hours of class, I don't consider this to be a huge increased risk, but will monitor the situation accordingly and take steps to reduce the risk further by the other measures, if I feel numbers have become unsafe.
i hope this reassures those of you who were worried about the increased risks. If you have any concerns about any of the measures or anything else that happens at class, please do let me know immediately as I can't resolve an issue I'm not aware of.
I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
